Trapped Miners in Chile

I'm following the news about the 33 trapped miners in Chile. They might be rescued soon.

I guess there will be a book and film made to document what happened.

This reminds me of a 1993 movie called 'Alive' (1993) about an Uruguayan plane crash. The survivors resorted to eating the corpses of the other passengers. I don't know why I thought of it, since the two events are unrelated. Maybe something terrible happened to both groups so survival instincts kicked in. The miners have been forced to change their lifestyle - give up almost everything for a couple of months.

How much adversity can a person take? The miners are going through trials in endurance and have exceeded expectations.

I hope they get top side soon!
I met up with my four best friends this afternoon. We had lunch at Furnace.

It's the last time we'll be together for a while. One is leaving on a jet plane, another lives in a different city. We part after group hugs to start these big life changes.

I am a third of the way through my Masters... It's getting serious.

South East Asian Cold Drink

I didn't get boba tea. I got grape nata de coco instead! The photo below showing South East Asian beverages was taken at Ben Thanh Market in Vietnam.

The one from Momo Tea was a light purple slushy with a bit of jelly. A good thirst quencher. You can find it at shop 4, 39 Ward Street. I will go back and try other ones.
